Clearwater has two municipal marina's. The original, now known as the Clearwater Beach Marina, and the recently developed marina on Clearwater Harbor.
The Clearwater Harbor Marina is situated under, and to both sides of the Clearwater Memorial Causeway bridge on the mainland side of the intracoastal waterway. The marina has concrete floating docks and can accommodate 126 boats up to 55 feet in slips. It also has 1,000 feet of overnight docking space plus 600 feet of docks for daytime visitors. There is no fee for daytime visitors. There is, however, a customary transient fee for vis tors to stay overnight.
The marina is convenient to both the Gulf of Mexico as well as the intracoastal waterway. There are no bridges to transit from the South Basin of the marina to the Gulf, while boaters from the North Basin must pass under the Causeway Bridge that has a decent 74 foot clearance.
There is much to do around the Clearwater Harbor Marina with it situated just across Coachman Park and at the base of downtown Clearwater's Cleveland Street District. It is also within easy distance to Clearwater Beach by bicycle or even those willing to walk a couple of miles along the scenic causeway.
