Volleyball - Clearwater Beach has several permanently established volleyball areas right on the beach. Anyone can join and impromptu games are common. Do bring your own ball though!
Pier 60 - this is a hot spot for activity during the day and evenings. Walk out on the 1,080 foot concrete pier to view Clearwater Beach from a different perspective. Bring your own fishing gear or rent at the on-pier bait shop then try your luck fishing in the Gulf from the outer pier - day or night. Pier 60 also has a local snack bar and children's playground.
Near sundown, Pier 60 really comes alive! "Sunsets at Pier 60" is a daily tradition for visitors and locals to celebrate Clearwater Beach and awesome sunsets. Artisans and crafters line the pier to offer unique, locally crafted wares. Street performers provide entertainment ranging from spectacular to wacky. The fun begins about 2 hours before sunset and continues to early evening.
Sunset Cinema at Pier 60 - each Friday and Saturday around dusk, Clearwater shows free, outdoor movies shown on grass grounds near entrance to Pier 60. Bring your blankets or low lawn/beach chairs to sit under the stars enjoy family-friendly movies (weather permitting).
