Fort De Soto Park offers one of the best campgrounds in the area. Its natural setting among the Florida wilderness and along the Gulf of Mexico offers a truly back-to-nature camping experience. The pristine campgrounds, many with direct access to the surrounding waterways, disguise the amenities and conveniences of this campground. The park has 238 sites, grills, water, restrooms, showers, electricity, nearby washers and dryers, play areas and a camp store. Tent camping, pop-up campers and RVs are allowed. Nearby is an 800 foot long boat launching facility. Surrounding the campground is the Fort De Soto Park which covers 1,136 acres over five interconnected islands. Fort De Soto Beach has been chosen as a top beach in America by "Dr. Beach".
KOA Clearwater / Tarpon Springs in Palm harbor is one of the nice camping spots assuring the best family camping experience. The KOA offers RV sites, tent camping and KOA's "Kamping Cabins". The facilities at the center include propane sales, heated pool, trailer supplies, WiFi and a pavilion/meeting Room. The Innisbrook Golf Resort is one-eighth mile nearby.
St. Petersburg / Madeira Beach KOA offers RV sites, tent camping sites and one-, and two-room "KOA Kabins" as well as "Kamping Lodges". A swimming pool is open all year. The park also offers a hot tub/sauna, mini-golf, fishing and bicycle rentals. Shopping and restaurants are nearby.
Dunedin RV Resort is one of the premier RV grounds enjoying a renowned popularity among regulars. The center has everything to provide one of the best camping experiences with 243 sites, and 18 pull-thru sites with 243 full hookups and 45 max RV length. Located just north of Dunedin, the location is close to Pinellas Trail and just three miles away from Caladesi Island and Honeymoon Island State Parks. The facilities at the resort include bocce, horseshoes, volleyball, shuffleboard, basketball and a range of other activities.
Sherwood Forest RV Park in nearby Palm Harbor provides 101 sites in close proximity to the Gulf Coast. Accommodations for RVs, popups and tents. Cable, phone and internet access are available. Pets permitted, meeting facilities, nearby biking and hiking trails, recreation halls, and swimming pool are among the features.
Yankee Traveler offers adult RV sites exclusively for travelers of 55 years and older. This luxury park is family owned and operated with 200 campsites, 210 full hookups and 45 max RV length. Lee's Travel Park in Largo accommodates about 40 RV units. Vacation Village Travel Park is yet another ideal site for camping in Largo, not far from Clearwater. The location consists of 293 sites and 281 full hookups. The facilities at the park comprise dump station, meeting facilities, internet access, laundry, convenience store, recreation hall and entertainment activities, and a well equipped swimming pool.
Bickley Park at Seminole is not far from Clearwater, and has 152 RV sites. The park has a meeting room, outdoor games, cable TV, Internet access, recreational room and permits pets.
Clearwater Travel Resort on Gulf to Bay Boulevard, Clearwater has 154 RV sites. The park permits pets, has a recreation hall, onsite store, Internet access and a swimming pool.
