Clearwater has renovated and energized its downtown district into a beautiful and active area enjoyed by business, local residents and visitors. Central to this area is the Cleveland Street District with its retail shops, entertainment venues and activities, businesses and good selection of restaurants. 
Cleveland Street District is a very walkable city area with beautiful Clearwater Harbor, Clearwater Marina, Clearwater Main Library and Coachman Park just a few blocks away.
The Capitol Theatre on the corner of Cleveland Street and S. Osceola is also undergoing renovation to restore it to its original majesty. The theater is a great place to watch some classic movies or attend the regular scheduled performing arts.
One of the more exciting activies Clearwater's Blast Friday. This family-friendly street festival is scheduled the last Friday of each month and it is free! The event always includes exciting performances along with many vendors, food, fun and entertainment.
